Previous Charlie's Headlines Locals...did you know that Charlie's has been here for you for over 60 years? Yeah, we thought so! Bring the kids down for some no frills seafood. By the way, Trisha's Key Lime Pie is the best kept Virginia Beach dessert secret around town!!! We will remember you always, Jeanie.
On May 27, 2007, Jeanie Hines passed away. Jeanie was with us for over 54 years at Charlie's Seafood and will always be remembered by her customers and co-workers as a good friend and great cook. Jeanie started at Charlie's when she was 14 years old and was a loyal cook and friend to all throughout the years! We will always remember her wonderful stories of when Charlie's first opened. Through the years she brought much joy and great food to all! We love you Jeanie.
A Smoke Free Charlie's...You responded, we listened For the last year, we have posted an invitation for you to give us your thoughts, opinions and votes on whether we should keep our smoking section in the Oyster Bar. Well, the responses have spoken for themselves. You responded...we listened!!! Effective Tuesday, April 10, 2007, Charlie's Seafood Restaurant will be smoke free in the entire restaurant. We would like to thank all of those that responded. As always, we welcome your comments and suggestions on anything here at Charlie's. Just send us an e-mail. We always listen!
Zeke...we miss you! On October 24th, 2006, we lost a member of our Charlie's Family, Russell (Zeke) Miller passed away. Russell was here with us every day during the week at the restaurant. Many of us grew up with Russell at the restaurant as employees and customers. We would like all of our customers (extended family) to remember him as he always was...here for all and always with a great story! We miss you, Russell! |
